Toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri ve benlik saygısının kadınların cinsel doyumu üzerine etkisinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Bu araştırmada toplumsal cinsiyet rollerinin ve benlik saygısının kadınların cinsel doyumu üzerindeki etkisini araştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini İstanbul'da yaşayan 18 yaş ve üzeri 196 kadın oluşturmaktadır. Katılımcılara Demografik Bilgi Formu, Toplumsal Cinsiyet Rolleri Tutum Ölçeği, Golombok – Rust Cinsel Doyum Ölçeği ve Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Envanteri uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi için SPSS 21.0 programı ile bağımsız örneklem t testinden, ANOVA analizi, LSD post-hoc testi, Pearson korelasyon analizi ve çoklu regresyon analizinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre kadınların benlik saygısının ve toplumsal cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin eşitlikçi tutumun cinsel doyumları üzerinde pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı bir etkiye sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Benlik saygısının cinsel doyumun alt boyutlarından kaçınma ve anorgazmiyi negatif yönde ve anlamlı düzeyde yordadığı tespit edilmiştir. Benlik saygısının, cinsel doyumun sıklık alt boyutunun üzerinde ise pozitif yönde ve anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Kadın cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin gelenekçi tutumun ise cinsel doyumun dokunma boyutunda negatif yönlü ve anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Erkek cinsiyet rollerine ilişkin gelenekçi tutumun ise anorgazmi alt boyutunun üzerinde pozitif yönlü ve anlamlı etkiye sahip olduğu bulunmuştur. Araştırmaya demografik değişkenler dahil edilmiş ve toplumsal cinsiyet rolleri tutumları, benlik saygısı ve cinsel doyum ile ilişkisi incelenmiştir.

In this study, the effect of gender role and self esteem on women's sexual satisfaction was investigated. The sample of the study consist of 196 women participants aged 18 and over living in İstanbul. Demographic Information Form, Gender Roles Attitude Scale, Golombok-Rust Sexual Satisfaction Scale and Rosenberg Self-Esteem Iventory were applied to the participants. Fort he analysis of the data, SPSS 21.0 program and independent sample T-test, ANOVA analysis, LSD post-hoc test, Pearson correlation analysis and multiple resgression analysis were used. According to findings obtained from the research, is was found that women's self esteem and egalitarian attitude towards gender roles had a positive and significant effect on their sexual satistfaction. It has been found that self esteem predicts avoidance of the subdimension of sexual satisfaction and anorgasmian in a negative and significant way. Self esteem has ben found to have a positive and significant effect on the frequency sun dimension of sexual satisfaction. The traditionalist attitude towards female gender roles was found to have a negative and significant effect on the touch dimension of sexual satisfaction. On the other hand, the traditionalist attitude towards male gender roles was found to have a positive and significant effect on the anorgasmia subdimension. Demographic variables were included in the research and their relationship with gender role attitudes, self-esteem and sexual satifaction on women were examined.
