Abstract
Bu araştırma, İstanbul ili Beykoz ilçesinde bulunan Özel Beykoz Tıp Merkezi'nde beslenme ve diyet polikliniğine, sağlıklı beslenmek veya kilo vermek amacıyla başvuran 19 yaş üzeri bireylerin; bitkisel ürün kullanım durumunu ve amaçlarını, kullanılan ürünleri, bitkisel ürünler hakkındaki görüşlerini ve bilinç düzeylerini saptamak amacıyla yapılmıştır. Katılımcılara araştırmacı tarafından, 4 bölümden oluşan bireylerin genel özellikleri, sağlık bilgileri, bitkisel ürün kullanım durumunu, beslenme alışkanlıklarını sorgulayan bir anket formu uygulanmıştır. Katılımcıların araştırmacı tarafından antropometrik ölçümleri (Boy uzunluğu, vücut ağırlığı, beden kütle indeksi, bel-kalça çevresi) alınmıştır ve Tanıta TBF 300 adlı BIA(Biyoimpedans Analiz) cihazı ile vücut kompozisyon analizi yapılmıştır. Veriler SPSS 23 adlı istatistik programında değerlendirilmiştir. Katılımcıların bel çevresi, bel-kalça oranları, vücut yağ yüzdesi ortalamaları ile cinsiyetleri arasındaki fark istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı bulunmuştur(p<0,05). BKİ Grupları ile zayıflamak için bitkisel ürün kullanımı arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmuştur(X^2= 15,59, p = 0.01). Gün içinde tüketilen ana öğün sayısı ve BKİ, bel- kalça oranı, vücut yağ yüzdesi, arasında çok zayıf, negatif yönde anlamlı bir ilişki vardır(p<0.05). Bitkisel ürünlerin içeriğini inceleme ve eğitim düzeyi arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki bulunamamıştır (X^2 = 9,18; p = 0,057 ). Katılımcıların zayıflamak için sıklıkla başvurduğu bitkisel ürünlerin yeşil çay(%58,1), karışık bitki çayları (%34,95) ve tarçın(%20,4) olduğu görülmüştür. Araştırmada, daha önce yasaklanan bir zayıflama ürünü olan LidaDaiHuaJiaoNang adlı ürünün de kullanıldığı görülmüştür(%0,53). Daha önce çeşitli ülkelerden birçok karaciğer vakasının bildirildiği popüler bir zayıflama ürünün de zayıflamak için kullanıldığı görülmüştür(%1,61). Bu araştırmanın, bitkisel ürün kullanımı konusunda toplumun bilinçlendirilmesi için kaynak olacağı ve toplum için gerekli önlem ve politikaların geliştirilmesine katkıda bulunacağı düşünülmektedir. This research was conducted at the private Beykoz Medical Center located in Beykoz, Istanbul province, and it was found that individuals aged over 19 who applied for nutrition and diet policlinic, to determine the status and purpose of the herbal product, the opinions about her products, the herbal products and the level of consciousness. A questionnaire form which literature and similar studies drawn up using the general characteristics of individuals which consists of 4 sections, health information, the herbal product use cases, questioning their eating habits questionnaire.was applied to the participants by the researcher. The anthropometric measurements (height, body weight, body mass index, waist-hip circumference) of the participants were taken by the investigator. Body composition analysis of the participants was performed by the researcher with the BIA (Bioimpedance Analysis) device, Diagnosis TBF300. The data were evaluated in the statistical program SPSS 23.The waist circumference, waist-to-hip ratios, body fat percentages and gender of the participants were statistically significant (p <0.05). A statistically significant relationship was found between the use of herbal products to lose weight and BMI groups(X^2= 15,59, p = 0.01). There was no statistically significant relationship between examine the contents of herbal products and educational level (X^2= 9,18; p = 0,057). There was very weak, negative direction, a significant correlation between the number of main meals consumed during the day and the BMI, waist-to-hip ratio, body fat percentage(p<0.05). Herbal products that participants often resort to to löse weight; green tea (%58,1), mixed herbal teas (%35) and cinnamon (%20,4). In this study a previously prohibited a slimming product called LidaDaiHuaJiaoNang was also used(%0,53). In this study, it was seen that a popular weight loss product, which had previously been reported in many liver cases from various countries, was also used to weaken it(%1,61). It is thought that this research will contribute to the development of the necessary measures and policies for the society that will be a source for raising awareness of the use of herbal products.
