Abstract
Bu çalışmada yükselen piyasa ekonomilerinin ileri teknoloji yoğunluklu ürünlerde rekabet gücü 2007-2019 dönemini kapsayan yıllık veriler yardımı ile karşılaştırmalı olarak test edilmiştir. Değerlendirmeye alınan ülkeler IMF'in yükselen piyasa ekonomisi olarak nitelendirdiği 20 ülkeyi içermektedir.
In this study, the competitiveness of emerging market economies in high-tech products was tested comparatively with the help of annual data covering the period 2007-2019. The countries included in the assessment include 20 countries that are defined as emerging market economies by the IMF. As an indicator of competitiveness, it was calculated with the 'Revealed Comparative Advantages' index developed by Balassa (1965). In addition, the data used in the calculation were taken from the World Bank to cover the years 2007-2019. As a result, among the emerging market economies in the empirical analysis, Malaysia, China and Thailand have been found to have the highest competitiveness in high-tech products. In addition, it has also been understood that Turkey does not present a competitive structure in this product group.
