Özel eğitim alanında çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinin incelenmesi

Abstract

Yaşıtlarına göre gelişimi yavaş olan çocukların eğitilmesi ve topluma uyum sağlayabilmesini içeren bir eğitim türü olarak özel eğitim çocuğun ailesinin yanı sıra öğretmenleri için zorlu süreçler içermektedir. Özel eğitim alanında çalışan öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeylerinin belirlenmesi, bu araştırmanın temel amacı olarak belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin fiziksel tükenme, duygusal tükenme, zihinsel tükenme durumlarının açıklanması ise alt amaçlar kapsamında yer almaktadır. Genel tarama modelinde olan bu çalışmada literatür taraması ve ölçek uygulaması yapılmıştır. Ölçek uygulaması gereğince İstanbul ili Eyüpsultan ilçesindeki okullarda görev yapan 142 öğretmene ölçek uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre, özel eğitim alanında çalışan öğretmenlerin genel olarak 'biraz' düzeyinde (=2,63±0,38) tükenmişlik düzeyine sahip oldukları belirlenmiştir. Öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyleri üzerinde yaş, cinsiyet, çalışılan kurum türü, özel eğitim alanında çalışma süresi değişkenlerinin etkisi olduğu ortaya çıkmıştır. The children who have slow development according to their peers' have to take special education and the parents and the teachers have to face with a hard process for orientating the children. The basic goal of this study is determining the exhaustion level of the teachers who are working in the special education field. The sub goals of this study explain to teacher's physical exhaustion, emotional exhaustion, mental exhaustion. The literature review and the questionnaire application methodologies have both been used. For the questionnaire 142 teachers have been attended who are working in İstanbul Province Eyüpsultan district. According to the results, age, gender, the working organization, the field of special education and the working time effects on the level of exhaustion of the teachers. The teachers have been attended only from Eyüpsultan and this is the limitedness of the survey. Keywords: Special Training, Teacher, Exhaustion
