Abstract
Bu araştırmanın amacı premenstrüel sendrom ve yaşam doyumu arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Buna ek olarak farkındalığın premenstrüel sendrom ve yaşam doyumu ilişkisinde biçimleyici değişken özelliği de incelenmiştir. Araştırmanın örneklemini 25- 45 yaş aralığında menstrüel döngüsü devam eden 208 kadın oluşturmuştur. Veri toplama aracı olarak 'Demografik Bilgi Formu', 'Farkındalık Soruları', 'Premenstrüel Sendrom Ölçeği' ve 'Yaşam Doyumu Ölçeği' kullanılmıştır. Araştırma verilerinin istatistiksel değerlendirilmesi sonucu yaşam doyumu, farkındalık, depresif duygulanım, anksiyete, yorgunluk, sinirlilik, uyku ve şişkinlik, depresif düşünce, ağrı, iştah değişimleri ve PMS puanlarının sosyoekonomik düzeyin yeterli ya da yetersiz olması durumuna göre farklılaştığı bulunmuştur. PMS ölçeğinin alt boyutlarının yaşam doyumu üzerindeki yordayıcılığı incelenmiş, sonuç olarak depresif duygu durumun yaşam doyumunu negatif yönde yordadığı görülmüştür. Son olarak yaşam doyumu, farkındalık, depresif duygulanım, uyku ve şişkinlik, anksiyete, yorgunluk, sinirlilik, depresif düşünce, ağrı, iştah değişimleri ve PMS puanlarının PMS hakkında önceden bilgi alıp almamaya göre farklılaştığı bulunmuştur.
The aim of current study is to examine the relationship between 'Premenstrual Syndrome' and 'Life Satisfaction'. In addition to that the moderator effect of 'awareness' on this relationship was also taken into consideration. The participants of the study were 208 women who were still having their menstrual cycle and aged between 25-45. Data were obtained by a survey including 'Socio Demographic Information Form', 'Awareness Questionaries', 'Premenstrual Syndrome Scale' and 'Life Satisfaction Scale'. As a result of the statistical analysis of the data it was found that the socioeconomic situation of the participants was a significant factor creating differences in life satisfaction, awareness, depressive mood, , anxiety, tiredness, agression, depressive thougth, pain, changes in appetite, sleep and swelling sypmtoms PMS. A negative reletionship between depressive mood and life satisfaction was also found. Morever awareness about PMS was a factor creating significant differences on the scores of participants' life satisfaction, awareness, depressive mood, , anxiety, tiredness, agression, depressive thougths, pain, changes in appetite, sleeping quality and swelling syptoms of PMS.
