Abstract
Serebral palsili çocukların %53,4' ü erkek, %38,8' i 6-12 yaş grubunda, %36,2' si yürüyemiyor ve %53,4' ü okula gitmiyordur. Annelerin %70,7' sine bakımda yardım eden kişi olmadığı, %69,8' i çocuğun hastalığı nedeniyle psikolojik yardım almamış/ almıyor ve %64,7' si çocuğunun hastalığı nedeniyle eşiyle ilişkisinde sorun yaşamamıştır.
The aim of this study was to determine the care load and loneliness levels of mothers with children with Cerebral Palsy (CP) and to reveal the relationship between care load and loneliness. The population of the descriptive and cross-sectional study was aimed at the mothers of 150 SP children who were admitted to the Metin Sabancı Baltalimanı Bone Diseases Training and Research Hospital between February and November 2018. It was wanted to study on the universe before the selection of the sample but 116 (77.3%) mothers volunteered to participate in the study. Ethics committee approval and work permit from the hospital were obtained before the data collection process was started. The research data were collected demographic data form, Zarit Burden Intervieve (ZBI) and UCLA Loneliness Scale (UCLA-LS). In the evaluation of the data, number-percentage calculations, Kruskal Wallis test, pearson correlation analysis, Anova test and t test were used. 46.6% of the mothers who participated in the study were in the 30-39 age group and 60.3% had two children. 79.3% of mothers with cerebral palsy do not work. 53.4% of children with cerebral palsy are males, 38.8% are in the 6-12 age group, 36.2% cannot walk and 53.4% do not attend school. 70.7% of the mothers did not help in the care, 69.8% did not receive / received psychological help due to the child's illness and 64.7% did not have any problems in their relationship with their spouse due to the illness of the child. 85.3% of mothers with cerebral palsy are pleased to be looking after their children, 86.2% do not prefer anyone to look at their children and 54.3% of them feel adequate to care for their child and 39.7% of mothers feel tired. The mean SPSS of the mothers was 33.35±16.54 and the mean UCLA-LS score was 53.59±8.05. In the study, there was a positive correlation between the mean score of caregiver mothers and UCLA-LS score averages. While the care burden of mothers increased, the level of loneliness was found to be low. Key words: Cerebral palsy, Caregiving burden, Loneliness.
