Kemik iliği aspirasyonu ve biyopsisi yapılanhastalara işlem öncesi verilen eğitimin durumlukkaygı düzeyleri üzerine etkisi
Abstract
This study was planned to determine the effect of pre-procedural information on state anxiety levels of individuals who underwent bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. Turkish-speaking patients aged 18 years and older who applied to the Istanbul Training and Research Hospital Hematology clinic and polyclinic and had bone marrow aspiration and biopsy were included in this study. The study consists of 80 cases, 40 cases and 40 control groups randomly selected from the volunteer pool. Socio-demographic Data Collection Form, State Trait Anxiety Inventory and Bone Marrow Aspiration and Biopsy Information Form were applied to the individuals in the case group (n=40) before the procedure, and State Trait Anxiety Inventory was applied again to determine their post-procedural anxiety levels. Socio-demographic Data Collection Form and State Trait Anxiety Inventory were applied to the control group before the procedure, and State Trait Anxiety Inventory was applied again after the procedure. It was determined that the state anxiety score of the case group who was given pre-procedural training was significantly reduced (p<0,05). The state anxiety scores of the control group were found to be significantly higher than the case group. As a result, it has been determined that the information given to the patients before the procedure reduces the anxiety in individuals. In line with the information obtained, it is recommended to apply the training to be given by the nurse before the procedure in order to reduce anxiety.
