Abstract
Bu araştırma anjiyografi işlemi yapılacak hastaların bitkisel ürün kullanım durumlarının incelenmesi amacıyla tanımlayıcı olarak yapıldı. Araştırmanın evrenini 1 Mart-15 Mayıs 2019 tarihleri arasında İstanbul Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Hastanesi Kardiyoloji Bölümüne anjiyografi işlemi için yatan hastalar, örneklemi ise 1 Mart-15 Mayıs 2019 tarihleri arasında çalışmaya katılma kriterlerine uygun, çalışmaya katılmayı kabul eden 106 hasta oluşturdu. Araştırmanın verileri araştırmacılar tarafından hazırlanmış 8 sorudan oluşan ''Hasta Tanıtım Formu' ve 12 sorudan oluşan 'Bitkisel Ürün Kullanım Durumu' formu kullanılarak toplandı. Araştırma verilerinin değerlendirilmesi için SPSS for Windows 21 (Statistical Package Social Sciences) paket programı kullanıldı.
This descriptive research was conducted to examine the herbal product use of patients hospitalized to undergo angiographic intervention. Population of the research consisted of the patients hospitalized to undergo angiographic intervention at the Cardiology Service of İstanbul University İstanbul Medical Faculty Hospital between 1 March and 15 May 2019 and the sample of the research consisted of 106 patients who met the criteria for and accepted taking part in the research between 1 March and 15 May 2019. Research data were collected by using 8-question 'Patient Identification Form' and 12-question 'Form of Herbal Product Use', both of which were prepared by the researchers. PSS for Windows 21 (Statistical Package Social Sciences) package program was used to evaluate the research data. Number, percentage and mean value and standard deviation methods were used in the statistical analysis of the research results. Chi-square test was used to compare the herbal products used by the patients based on their chronic diseases. It was found out that the average age of the patients taking part in the research was 62,29 ±13,59; 61.3% of them were male; 95.3% of them suffered from chronic disease; 78% of them used herbal product; 58.5% of them used herbal product for hypertension; 50.9% of the patients using herbal products also used lemon; 48.1% of them started using herbal product by means of media; and 22.6% of them used herbal product once every two days. It was determined that there was a statistically meaningful difference between the products used by the patients based on their chronic diseases, and the patients diagnosed with hypertension used lemon, garlic and melissa tea more frequently (p>0.05). Research results indicated that majority of the patients used herbal products, and media was influential in herbal product use. Keywords: Coronary artery disease, Herbal product, Angiography
