Abstract
In this study, it was aimed to evaluate the nutritional status and type 2 diabetes risk of individuals who applied to the health center. The research was carried out with 250 volunteer participants, 152 women and 98 men, who applied to a private health center. Research data; It was obtained with a questionnaire that questioned the demographic characteristics and anthropometric measurements of the individuals. In order to determine the nutritional status of the participants, the Food Consumption Form with a 24-hour reminder, the 'Dutch Eating Behaviors Questionnaire (DEBQ)' to determine the eating behavior, and the 'Finnish Diabetes Risk Score Scale (FINDRISK)' to evaluate the risk of Type 2 diabetes were made. As a result of this study, when the Type 2 diabetes risks of the participants were evaluated; The FINDRISK score of female participants was 10.42±4.37 points, and the FINDRISK score of male participants was 10.00±4.61 points (p>0.05). As a result, type 2 diabetes risk scores of male and female participants were not statistically significant (p>0.05). It was observed that the risk of type 2 diabetes in the next 10 years of the participants was mild, with a rate of 4%. As the total FINDRISK score of the participants increased, the DEBQ-Emotional eating behavior scores increased in the DEBQ survey conducted to evaluate their nutritional status. One of the types of carbohydrates consumed by female participants in the study; As fructose, glucose and starch intakes increased, FINDRISK scores increased and the risk of type 2 DM was found to be higher compared to other groups.
