Abstract
Araştırmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinde algılanan anne baba tutumları (demokratik, koruyucu-istekçi ve otoriter) ile mükemmeliyetçilik ve yetersizlik duygusu arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemektir. Ayrıca bu değişkenlerin belirli sosyodemografik değişkenler ile ilişkisine bakılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemini Okan Üniversitesi'nde 2018-2019 eğitim öğretim yılında öğrenim gören 184 kadın (% 52,6) ve 156 erkek (%47,4) olmak üzere toplam 350 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Araştırmanın veri toplama araçlarını; araştırmacı tarafından oluşturulmuş katılımcıların kişisel bilgilerine dair soruların yer aldığı 'Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu', algılanan anne baba tutumlarını belirlemek için 'Anne Baba Tutumları Ölçeği', mükemmeliyetçilik düzeyini ölçmek için 'Çok Boyutlu Mükemmeliyetçilik Ölçeği' ve yetersizlik duygusu düzeyini ölçmek için 'Yetersizlik Duygusu Ölçeği' oluşturmuştur. Araştırma verilerinin istatistiksel analizi IBM SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) programı ile yapılmıştır. Ölçeklerin normal dağılmaması sebebiyle, parametrik olmayan Spearman korelasyon analizi, Mann-Whitney U ve Kruskal Wallis testleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre; algılanan demokratik anne baba tutumu ile mükemmeliyetçilik arasında anlamlı negatif bir ilişki, algılanan koruyucu-istekçi anne baba tutumu ile mükemmeliyetçilik arasında anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki ve algılanan otoriter anne baba tutumu ile mükemmeliyetçilik arasında anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Algılanan demokratik anne baba tutumu ile yetersizlik duygusu arasında anlamlı negatif bir ilişki, algılanan koruyucu-istekçi anne baba tutumu ile yetersizlik duygusu arasında anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki ve algılanan otoriter anne baba tutumu ile yetersizlik duygusu arasında anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuştur. Mükemmeliyetçilik ile yetersizlik duygusu arasında ise anlamlı pozitif bir ilişki bulunmuştur.
The aim of the study is to investigate the relationship between perceived parental attitudes (democratic, protective-demanding and authoritarian), perfectionism and inferiority feeling in university students. In addition, the relationship between these variables and certain sociodemographic variables were examined. The sample of the study was consisted of 350 students (184 females(52.6%) and 156 males(47.4%) studying at Okan University in 2018-2019 academic year. The tools used in the data collection were, 'Sociodemographic Information Form': questions created by the researcher regarding to participants' personal information, 'Parental Attitudes Scale': in order to assess perceived parental attitudes, 'Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale': to measure participants' perfectionism levels and 'Inferiority Feeling Scale': to measure participants' inferiority feeling levels. Statistical analysis of research data was conducted with SPSS program. Nonparametric tests which are Spearman correlation analysis, Mann-Whitney U and Kruskal Wallis tests were used because the scales were not normally distributed. According to the results of the study, there was a significant negative correlation between perceived democratic parental attitude and perfectionism and a significant positive correlation between perceived protective-demanding parental attitude and perfectionism. Also, a significant positive correlation between perceived authoritarian parental attitude and perfectionism was found. There was significant negative correlation between perceived democratic parental attitude and inferiority feeling and a significant positive correlation between the perceived protective-demanding parental attitude and inferiority feeling. Additively, a significant positive correlation between the perceived authoritarian parental attitude and inferiority feeling was found. Finally, there was a significant positive correlation between perfectionism and inferiority feeling.
