dc.description.abstract Economic discrimination is one of the crucial dimensions among the types of discrimination as it causes income inequality and leads to poverty. There are various factors that cause income inequality, and meanwhile additional factors are occurring. Climate change is one of the emerging factors that has a nonignorable impact on income inequality between countries and also within countries. Climate change makes income inequality deeper for the more vulnerable countries. Therefore, this study aims to examine the relationship between climate change and income inequality. It examines the relationship for Turkey. It uses the Gini coefficient as the indicator of income inequality, and CO2 emissions represents the climate change. It utilizes descriptive analysis to illustrate the relation. It is emphasized that the climate change effects will increase the income inequality in Turkey. If the policymakers do not adopt policies related to combating climate change, the income inequality gets higher depending on this factor. © Peter Lang GmbH Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften Berlin 2021. en_US
