Abstract

This study investigates the historical context and strategic evolution of the naval cooperation between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, highlighting its roots in the early years of Azerbaijan's independence following the dissolution of the Soviet Union. As both nations embarked on building and modernizing their naval capabilities, their partnership became a cornerstone of regional security in the Caspian and Black Seas. The study emphasizes how this cooperation has grown from initial diplomatic ties into a robust military alliance, driven by shared strategic interests and mutual security concerns.
