The Comparison of J. S. Bach's BWV 1001 Fugue Violin Score with that of BWV 1000 Fugue Lute

Abstract

Johann Sebastian Bach'ın lavta üzerindeki icracı yönü pek bilinmese de lavta ile ilişkisi veya lavta ile gerçekleştirmek istediği düzenlemeler, onun lavtaya olan yakınlığını ve ilgisini göz önüne sermektedir. Bu ilgi, onu dönemin meşhur lavta icracıları ve bestecileri ile bir araya getirmiş, yeni teknikler ve üslupları üretmesine sebebiyet vermiştir. Although the performer aspect of Johann Sebastian Bach on the lute is not well known, his relationship with the lute or the arrangements he wanted to make with it reveal his closeness and interest in the lute. This interest brought him together with the famous lute players and composers of the period and caused him to produce new techniques and styles. However, Bach's interest in the lute was not limited to this; he developed an instrument called the lute harpsichord (Lautenwerck), which is thought to belong to him, and with some arrangements and innovations he made on this instrument, he made the lute suitable for the contemporary musical structure of the period. As a matter of fact, with respect to lute tabulation, it is seen that Bach created unique and distinctive differences apart from other tabulations.
