Okul müdürlerinin liderlik biçimleri ile lise öğretmenlerinin örgütsel bağlılık davranışlarının incelenmesi (İzmir Aliağa ilçesi örneği)

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, okul yöneticilerinin liderlik biçimleri ile öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılıkları arasındaki ilişkinin incelemesidir. Araştırma, öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılık davranışları ile okul müdürlerinin liderlik biçimlerini algılamalarını cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş, kıdeme göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığını incelemesinden dolayı tarama modelindedir. Araştırma aynı zamanda öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılık davranışları ile okul müdürlerinin liderlik biçimlerini algılamaları arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemesinden dolayı da ilişkisel modeldedir. Araştırmanın örneklemini İzmir'in Aliağa ilçesinde orta öğretim kurumlarında görev yapan 278 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın bulgularına göre, çok faktörlü liderlik ölçeğinin alt boyutlarında öğretmenlerin puanlarının cinsiyet, medeni durum, yaş ve kıdem durumlarına göre anlamlı farklılıklar gösterdiği görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılık ölçeği alt boyutlarına ilişkin puanları incelendiğinde; medeni durum, yaş ve kıdeme göre anlamlı farklar gösterdiği; cinsiyete göre anlamlı bir fark göstermediği görülmüştür. Öğretmenlerin görüşlerine göre; okul müdürlerinin liderlik biçimleri ile öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılık ölçeği alt boyutları arasında anlamlı ilişkiler bulunmuştur. Öğretmenlerin liderlik ve örgütsel bağlılık puanlarının demografik değişkenlere göre farklı olmasının nedenlerinin araştırılabileceği önerilebilir. Ayrıca öğretmenlerin örgütsel bağlılığını etkileyen diğer değişkenler belirlenebilir, bu yönde eğitim politikaları oluşturulabilir.

The purpose of this study is the analysis of the relationship between the leadership styles of school administrators and the organizational commitment of teachers. The study is a survey since it observes whether the organizational commitment of the teachers and the perception of the school principals' leadership styles differentiate according to gender, marital status, age or seniority. The study is also a relational model because of the fact that it analyzes the realationship between the attitudes of organizational commitment of teachers and the leadership styles of school principals. The samples of the study consist of 278 teachers working in the secondary schools of Aliağa, province of İzmir. According to the findings of the study, there are differences in the points of the teachers in the subdimensions of the multifactor leadership scale in terms of gender, marital status, age and seniority. When the points of the organizational commitment of the teachers in relation to the subscales are observed, the points differ reasonably by marital status, age and seniority. However, it is found that there are not any reasonable changes in terms of gender. According to the views of the teachers, significant relations are found between the styles of the leadership of the school principals and the subscales of the organizational commitment of the teachers. It is suggested that the reasons of changes in the points of the leadership and organizational commitment of the teachers related to demographic variables can be analyzed. Furthermore, other variables affecting the organizational commitment of teachers can be identified and education policies can be created in this direction.
