Otizm spektrum bozukluğu tanılı çocuğa sahip annelerin deneyimleri

Abstract

Bu çalışma Otizm Spektrum Bozukluğu (OSB) tanılı çocuğa sahip annelerin yaşadıkları deneyimleri belirlemek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Kalitatif fenomenolojik desendeki çalışmanın evrenini Ağustos 2018- Ekim 2018 tarihleri arasında İstanbul ili sınırları içerisinde bulunan bir özel rehabilitasyon merkezinde çocuğu eğitim gören, DSM-V tanı kriterlerine göre çocuğu OSB tanısı almış annelerin tamamı oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın örneklemi ise 0-18 yaş arasında OSB tanısı almış çocuğa sahip ve vaka seçim kriterlerine uygun çalışmaya katılmaya gönüllü 35 anne oluşturmuştur. Araştırmada veriler aileleri tanıtıcı bilgi formu ve yarı yapılandırılmış sorulardan oluşan nitel görüşme formu kullanılarak derinlemesine görüşme yöntemi ile toplanmıştır. Alınan cevaplar doğrultusunda verilere ait açık uçlu sorular için MAXQDA programı ile nitel veri analizi uygulanmıştır. Katılımcı annelerin yaş ortalaması 37,6±6,9 idi. Annelerin%77,1 ev hanımı olup %31,4'ü lise ve %22,9'u üniversite mezunudur. Annelerin %20,0'si tek çocuğa sahiptir. Çocukların yaş ortalaması 8 ±4,6'dır.Çocukların %82,9'u erkektir. OSB olan çocukların almış olduğu özel eğitim süresi ortalama 4,8±4 yıldır. This study was conducted to determine the experiences with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The universe of the study in qualitative phenomenology August 2018- October 2018 dates betweenof the province of İstanbulwas composed of all mothers who wew educated in the one private rehabilitation center with in the borders, and whose children were diagnosed with ASD according to DSM-V diagnostic criteria. The sample of the study has 35mothers volunteers to participate in the study, who have children between the ages of 0-18 and who are diagnosed with ASD and who meet the case selection criteria. In the study, the data were collected through in-depth interview method using qualitative interview form consisting of ıntroductory information form and semistructured questions. In live with the answers received, qualitative data analysis was applied with MAXQDA program for open-ended questions regarding the data. The average age of the participating mothers was 37,6 ± 6,9. %77,1 of the mothers are housewives, %31,4 are high school graduates and %22,9 are university graduates. %20,0 of mothers have one child. The average age of children is 8 ± 4,6. %82,9 of children are boys. The average duration of special education received by children with ASD is 4,8 ± 4 years. There are 10 themes obtained from the information provided by the interviewed mothers wthin the frame of the research questions and constitute the research findings. The themes are: ''Similar of different aspects of having a child with ASD compared to other Mothers'', ''The Effect of having a child with ASD on Family and Social Life'', ''The Presence of Another Child Existence and the Child without ASD Diagnosis'', ''The state of having a child diagnosed with ASD affecting their relationship with the other child'', ''The behavior of the family and the immediate environment towards families with children with ASD'', ''The status of mothers who have ASD a children with ASD'', ''Concerns about the future of children with ASD'', ''Recommendations for families with children with ASD''. This research has shown the experiences of mothers with children with ASD in our culture and will make important contributions to future research.
