dc.description.abstract This study aims to contribute to form the standards of educational leadership aimed at primary and secondary school administrators in Turkey. In this study, the studies that have been done aimed at school administration are reviewed. At a study in Turkey, educational leadership standards formed in the USA (ISSLC, 1996) are accepted largely by many educators from different fields. On this basis, by examining the advanced 2008 version of ISSLC 1996, we have tried to offer an insight into points that will contribute to form and improve the standards of school administration. © Springer Science+Business Media Dordrecht 2014. en_US
