Abstract

Nutritional habits of women soccer players were analyzed and compared with demographic information. The study was conducted with 72 female athletes from 2 football teams selected by cluster selection. When athletes were questioned about the last meal before exercise, it was determined that 55.6% of them stopped eating 2 hours before the exercise and consumed the first food they found (30.6%). When the use of ergogenic support of the athletes was questioned, it was found that 38.8% used 'none' and 41.7% used 'sometimes' and they use ergogenic support to improve performance (55.6%). It has been concluded that athletes' nutritional habits and water consumption can be improved, they need support on nutrition time and food selection during exercise times and dietician support should be obtained for this.
